Softball Preview: Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks vs. Ellsworth Panthers
Baldwin-Woodville and Ellsworth are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ellsworth Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, while Baldwin-Woodville put up plenty of runs, the same can't be said for Amery. Baldwin-Woodville blew past Amery 15-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Baldwin-Woodville.
Meanwhile, Ellsworth got the win against Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Monday by a conclusive 13-2.
Madi Peterson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Peterson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Delaney Johnson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. Molly Jahnke was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
