Basketball Recap: Orcutt Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Orcutt Academy saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 66-55 to the Exeter Monarchs. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Exeter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Iversen, who went 10-for-18 en route to 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those 24 points gave Iversen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Plyman, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Orcutt Academy fell to 3-1. As for Exeter, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Orcutt Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-32 victory against Kennedy on the 5th. As for Exeter, they have also already played their next contest, a 76-55 win against Caruthers on the 5th.
