Basketball Game Preview: Bonham Warriors vs. Pittsburg Pirates

The Bonham Warriors will face off against the Pittsburg Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bonham came up short against Sulphur Springs on Tuesday, falling 57-34.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Heath Brown, who posted ten points and eight boards. Jk Wilson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Pittsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-56 heartbreaker at the hands of Paris. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 197th).

Pittsburg's record now sits at 14-18. As for Bonham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-14 record this season.

Bonham didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pittsburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bonham since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
