Softball Preview: Paint Valley Bearcats vs. Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs
The Paint Valley Bearcats are on the road again on Saturday to play the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. Lynchburg-Clay took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paint Valley, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Paint Valley got themselves on the board against Western, but Western never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 7-0 victory.
Kasarah Cantrell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Cantrell has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings every time she's pitched this season.
