Football Recap: South San Francisco Comes Up Short at Home Against San Lorenzo Valley + How To Watch

South San Francisco unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 31-7 to the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars on Thursday. The Warriors were down 31-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

San Lorenzo Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jesse Fulkerson, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Another rusher making a difference was Justin Griffis, who rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Looking ahead, South San Francisco will be playing at home against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
