Basketball Recap: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Palisade Bulldogs
Palmer Ridge suffered their closest defeat since January 23rd on Friday. They fell just short of the Palisade Bulldogs by a score of 57-54. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hunter Howard was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 11 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds for Palisade. Howard is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Hayward, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.
Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Palisade, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Palmer Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 52-46 defeat against Fruita Monument on the 21st. As for Palisade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-36 loss against Ponderosa on the 21st.
