The home team had won the previous four meetings between Columbine and Chatfield, and Columbine kept the tradition alive. The Rebels blew past the Chargers 3-0 on Tuesday. The Rebels were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Chargers, so the Rebels were just returning the favor.

While Columbine won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-22.

Taylor Speir paced Columbine's offense, picking up 12 kills. Speir got some help from Maddie Lynett and her 27 assists. Sofia Screaton and June Monseu kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Chatfield lost, don't look at Megan Morrissey. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and three assists. Morrissey has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Columbine's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Chatfield, their record now sits at 9-8.

Columbine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Valor Christian on the 23rd. As for Chatfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Cherokee Trail on the 24th.
