On Thursday, Star Valley faced Evanston in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Star Valley Braves pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over the Evanston Devils. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 59-44 win back in January.

Star Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points over those games. Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coincidentally, Star Valley and Evanston will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. Star Valley will head out to face Riverton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Evanston will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th.
