Basketball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Platte Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 52-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lawson's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for North Platte, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

While Lawson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
