Softball Recap: Brindlee Mountain Takes a Loss

Brindlee Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Madison Academy Mustangs, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 13-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Brindlee Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Madison Academy, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Brindlee Mountain will challenge Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Brindlee Mountain's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Madison Academy, they will take on East Limestone in a tournament on Friday. East Limestone will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Madison Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
