Soccer Recap: Verbum Dei Jesuit Takes a Loss

Verbum Dei Jesuit lost against St. Paul on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles fell just short of the St. Paul Swordsmen by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one goal.

Verbum Dei Jesuit has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13-1 record this season. As for St. Paul, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8-1.

Verbum Dei Jesuit will take on St. Genevieve at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Verbum Dei Jesuit is facing St. Genevieve at the right time seeing as St. Genevieve is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for St. Paul, they will square off against Paraclete at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
