Basketball Game Preview: Antonito Trojans vs. Lake City Community 14ers

Antonito has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lake City Community recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Antonito Trojans will host the Lake City Community 14ers at 2:00 p.m. Lake City Community took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Antonito, who comes in off a win.

Antonito is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They walked away with a 44-35 win over Centennial on Saturday. That nine point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Antonito found their leader in sophomore Octavian Martinez, who posted 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Martinez has scored all season. Rylan Trant was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Lake City Community was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Cotopaxi and fell 64-20. The 14ers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-10.

Lake City Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Antonito, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.

Antonito was able to grind out a solid win over Lake City Community when the teams last played back in January, winning 44-36. Will Antonito repeat their success, or does Lake City Community have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
