Soccer Recap: Boca Ciega Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Boca Ciega was not quite Hollins's equal in the second half on Monday. They came up short against the Hollins Royals, falling 5-1. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in November of 2024.

Boca Ciega has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Hollins, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-2.

Boca Ciega will welcome St. Petersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Petersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season. Hollins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
