Marquez came tearing into Wednesday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Torres Toros as they made off with a 14-1 win. 14 seems to be a good number for the Gladiators as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Rosalia Reyes was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Hailey Rojero was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Marquez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in eight consecutive contests.

Marquez's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Torres, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Marquez will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Toros: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
