Recap: Lathrop Spartans vs. Churchill County Greenwave
The Lathrop Spartans's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Churchill County out 54-51.
Lathrop can attribute much of their success to Raymond Carson, who scored 24 points along with 9 rebounds. Reniel Crisostomo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Churchill County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Luke Glinka, who scored 5 points along with 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Alves, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Churchill County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Lathrop is on the road again on Friday and play against Bradshaw Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Bradshaw Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday. Churchill County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Natomas at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Natomas is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.5 points per game.
