Volleyball Recap: Columbus Victorious

Columbus's tournament run continued when they took on Alliance on Saturday. The Discoverers had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1.

Paighton Erb paced Columbus' offense, picking up 12 kills. Erb got some help from Carley Kapels and her 21 assists. Alexah Riha controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Columbus' record is now 7-11. As for Alliance, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northwest on the 27th. As for Alliance, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Hastings on the 27th.
