Cherokee Trail lost against Pine Creek back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cherokee Trail's loss came despite strong showings from Alize Flores and Isabella McClinton. Flores had 29 digs, while McClinton had nine aces and eight digs. McClinton has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Cherokee Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Pine Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Cherokee Trail will take on Cherry Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Ponderosa on the 25th.
