Baseball Recap: Orange Lutheran Find Success

Orange Lutheran proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the JSerra Catholic Lions 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-3 last Tuesday.

Orange Lutheran got a great performance from Gary Morse as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Morse has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hamilton Friedberg was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Brady Murrietta was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Orange Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for JSerra Catholic, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Orange Lutheran beat the Lions by a score of 6-0 on Friday.
