On Friday, Warren faced Sheridan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Warren Lumberjacks fell just short of the Sheridan Yellowjackets by a score of 6-5. The Lumberjacks' defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Nathan Spears made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Antonio Jordan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Warren fell to 6-1. As for Sheridan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
