Football Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

After flying high against Englewood Stem last Thursday, Dunbar came back down to earth. The Mightymen were outmatched by the Chicago Military Academy Eagles and fell 42-13. The Mightymen lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-14 score last time.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chicago Military Academy, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Dunbar will welcome Longwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so the Mightymen's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chicago Military Academy, they will face off against Richards at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
