Soccer Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette managed to slip by Howell Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Spartans on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Marquette it sure didn't stay that way.

Marquette's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Howell Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette will welcome Nixa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Howell Central, they will be playing at home against Christian Brothers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
