Soccer Game Preview: Bakersfield vs. Highland

The Bakersfield Drillers will head out to square off against the Highland Scots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bakersfield's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bakersfield managed to keep up with Independence until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Bakersfield came up short against Independence, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Highland waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Wolf Pack onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Scots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Ridgeview with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Melissa Flores (2), Tatianna Rivas, Rachelle Baeza, and Rylee Aguilar.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 20-1-2. As for Bakersfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
