League recap: Peterson's hot bat leads Calvary Baptist

Robert Peterson was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .667 average with two RBIs. His Calvary Baptist team went 1-1.

New Harvest Christian has now lost nine straight games, currently the longest losing streak in the league. The Warriors lost another game last week, including a 18-8 defeat against Delphi Academy.

The Cougars's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing nine hits and five walks to lead the league in both categories. Calvary Baptist has given up a mere 46 hits on the year in addition to compiling 169 strikeouts. Peterson is the leader in that category with 146 Ks on the season.

St. Monica Academy scored 42 runs this week to lead the league, but the Cougars are tops in runs scored this year, with 129.

St. Monica Academy's Blaise Inman finished his week with seven hits, tops in the league. He is sixth in the league with 10 hits this year, and has a .455 batting average.
