Sadly, Monroe is still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 20-3 walloping at the hands of the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Monroe of the 22-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Katherine Rivera was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
On Forest Hills' side, Dakota Slack made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk).
