Baseball Recap: Waterbury Career Academy Spartans vs. Kennedy Eagles
Waterbury Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-2 to the Kennedy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 back in April.
Waterbury Career Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ramier Martinez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.
Waterbury Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Kennedy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterbury Career Academy will head out to face off against Seymour at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Bassick at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
