Volleyball Recap: Molly Kuhn Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Dekalb

Batavia lost to DeKalb back in October of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Barbs.

Batavia never let DeKalb on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Batavia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Molly Kuhn, who had five digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Kuhn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney Wik, who had ten digs and three assists.

Batavia's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for DeKalb, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Batavia will challenge Lake Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will square off against Aurora East at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
