Baseball Recap: Portales Comes Up Short

Portales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Artesia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss on Saturday.

Portales' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Artesia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Portales has already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against Goddard on the 24th. As for Artesia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Lovington on the 24th.
