Alhambra and Berean Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Alhambra had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Alhambra actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Berean Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berean Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
