Basketball Recap: Chaparral Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

The Chaparral Firebirds came up short against the Desert Mountain Wolves, falling 61-41. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Firebirds of the 85-66 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Chaparral's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Desert Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Chaparral will square off against Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Ironwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Desert Mountain, they and Campo Verde will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain is facing Campo Verde at the right time seeing as Campo Verde is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
