Football Recap: Mansfield Starts Season with Victory at Home

Mansfield gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They skirted past the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans 24-21. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Trojans are ranked 60th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Looking ahead, Mansfield will head out on the road to challenge Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, they will square off against Plymouth South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
