Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian lost against Anderson back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Liberty Christian Lions took a hard 78-61 fall against the Anderson Indians. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (58), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Anderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaron Morgan, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 25 points and three steals. Morgan has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Damien King was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards.

Liberty Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Anderson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Liberty Christian has already played their next game (against Tindley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Anderson will venture away from home to square off against Lafayette Jefferson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Anderson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Lafayette Jefferson likes a good challenge.
