Baseball Recap: Northland Comes Up Short

Northland lost against Whetstone back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings came up short against the Braves, falling 14-2.

Northland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Singleton, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Northland dropped their record down to 7-7-2 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Whetstone, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northland will be taking part in a tournament against Teays Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Whetstone, they will square off against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Stars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight.
