Soccer Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hilton Head Prep two weeks ago, John Paul II came back down to earth. The Golden Warrriors came up short against the Porter-Gaud Cyclones on Monday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, John Paul II can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Porter-Gaud are ranked fifth).

John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Porter-Gaud, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

John Paul II didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Northwood Academy on the 22nd. As for Porter-Gaud, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against First Baptist School on the 22nd.
