Football Game Preview: Blackman Blaze vs. Stewarts Creek Red Hawks

The Blackman Blaze will head out to challenge the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blackman's defense has only allowed 10.2 points per game this season, so Stewarts Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Blackman's offense might be in the hot seat on Thursday considering what happened against Oakland on Friday. They had to suffer through a 32-0 loss at the hands of the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Blaze's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Stewarts Creek made sure to put some points up on the board against LaVergne on Friday. The Red Hawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wolverines 35-0. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Red Hawks this season.

Stewarts Creek moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Blackman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Blackman beat Stewarts Creek 42-35 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blaze since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
