Volleyball Game Preview: George Jenkins Eagles vs. Haines City Hornets

The George Jenkins Eagles will square off against the Haines City Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. George Jenkins is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Friday, George Jenkins made easy work of Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate and carried off a 3-0 win.

George Jenkins never let Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Haines City duked it out with Bartow in a bug-themed battle on Tuesday. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Yellow Jackets. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Haines City was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-22.

Haines City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for George Jenkins, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

George Jenkins took their win against Haines City in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
