Basketball Game Preview: Brunswick Railroaders vs. Williamsport Wildcats

Brunswick is 1-9 against Williamsport since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Brunswick Railroaders will face off against the Williamsport Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If Brunswick beats Williamsport with 69 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Brunswick blew past Clear Spring, posting a 69-41 victory. That looming 69-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Railroaders yet this season.

Meanwhile, Williamsport came up short against Tuscarora on Friday and fell 63-56. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brunswick will have to contain Ceonta Wilmore as he made an impact in Williamsport's last game. He dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Wilmore is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zay Oree, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points and five assists.

The win (which was Brunswick's third in a row) raised their record to 8-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Williamsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Brunswick came up short against Williamsport in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 58-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Oree, who went 13 of 25 en route to 29 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
