Soccer Game Preview: Riverdale Ridge vs. Boulder

The Riverdale Ridge Ravens will take on the Boulder Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Riverdale Ridge sitting on seven straight wins and Boulder on three.

On Tuesday, Riverdale Ridge made easy work of Mountain Range and carried off a 5-2 victory. It was an even better day for Abby Hawkins as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Boulder's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They never let Prairie View get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Boulder's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Prairie View are ranked 75th).

Riverdale Ridge pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those five matches. As for Boulder, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1-2.
