Volleyball Game Preview: Heide Trask Titans vs. Midway Raiders

Heide Trask is 0-4 against Midway since September of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Heide Trask is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against North Moore by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 16-25, 25-16.

If South Lenoir wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Midway, they should've done a better job of containing Ella Clark. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils on Tuesday for which the team can thank Clark, who had seven digs and two blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 47 games she's played dating back to last season.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9, 25-13.

Heide Trask's record is now 15-6. As for Midway, their record now sits at 16-6.

Heide Trask might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Midway when the teams last played back in October of 2016. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
