South Anchorage strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the West Anchorage Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 two weeks ago.

South Anchorage got a great performance from Grayson Stanek-Alward as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, South Anchorage's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Theriault, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Theriault's first of the season.

South Anchorage pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Anchorage, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, South Anchorage and West Anchorage will both be playing Chugiak the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will host the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
