Soccer Recap: Salesian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Salesian was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bishop Amat Lancers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Lancers are ranked 15th).

Salesian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8-1. As for Bishop Amat, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1-2.

Salesian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cathedral at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Amat, they will head out to take on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Amat is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
