Softball Recap: Soldotna Takes a Loss

Soldotna lost against Colony back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stars lost 14-3 to the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stars have suffered against the Knights since May 16, 2015.

Soldotna saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Cooper, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Soldotna now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Colony, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Soldotna will take on Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Stars are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Colony, they will be taking part in a tournament against North Pole at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
