West Haven is a perfect 4-0 against East Haven since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The West Haven Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the East Haven Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Haven has five straight victories, East Haven has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If West Haven beats East Haven with 66 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. West Haven beat Sheehan last Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 66-49. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Titans are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 89-42, which was the final score in East Haven's tilt against Notre Dame on Monday. The matchup marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for West Haven, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

West Haven strolled past East Haven in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 67-52. Will West Haven repeat their success, or does East Haven have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
