Recap: Suncoast Chargers vs. Centennial Eagles

The Suncoast Chargers pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-58 to Centennial. While losing is never fun, Suncoast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Centennial is ranked 95th).

Centennial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Felix Buroz out in front who scored 17 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. Buroz continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Smith, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.

Suncoast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Centennial, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Suncoast will be playing in front of their home fans against Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Centennial likes a good challenge.
