Baseball Recap: Campbell County Takes a Loss

Campbell County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.95 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell just short of the Madison Southern Eagles by a score of 14-13.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Madison Southern, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell County will take on Boone County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Camels will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Madison Southern, they will square off against Boyle County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as the Eagles come in on three and the Rebels on four.
