Basketball Recap: Wenatchee Takes a Loss

Wenatchee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 75-49 to the Sunnyside Grizzlies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-36 back in December of 2024.

Wenatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Sunnyside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wenatchee will challenge Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wenatchee is facing Eisenhower at the right time seeing as Eisenhower is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sunnyside, they will head out on the road to face off against West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Sunnyside likes a good challenge.
