Baseball Recap: Immokalee Wins Going Away Against Donahue Catholic

Immokalee got themselves on the board against Donahue Catholic on Tuesday, but Donahue Catholic never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Donahue Catholic Shamrocks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Aaron Yzaguirre was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Adrian Ramirez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Pablo Alfaro was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Immokalee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Donahue Catholic only posted a batting average of .227.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Donahue Catholic, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Immokalee will be playing in front of their home fans against Ida Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Immokalee their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Donahue Catholic, they will head out to challenge Naples Classical at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
