Volleyball Recap: Kentridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Kentridge lost against Mt. Rainier back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chargers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-20 in the first set.

Kentridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Makana (Mak) Lum-Lung paced Kentridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Lum-Lung got some help from Tofi Luuga and her 12 assists. Grace Cho controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Kentridge's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Mt. Rainier, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Kentridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South Kitsap on the 19th. As for Mt. Rainier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kennedy Catholic on the 23rd.
