Soccer Recap: Torres Gets the Win

After losing to Justin Garza the last time they met, Torres decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Torres Toros beat the Justin Garza Guardians by a goal, winning 2-1. Ray Saldana had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Toros.

The victory got Torres back to even at 5-5-1. As for Justin Garza, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Torres will square off against Madera South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Torres' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Justin Garza, they will face off against Bullard at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Justin Garza's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
