Basketball Recap: Jecorey Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Palm Desert over Rancho Mirage

Palm Desert was the 70-63 winner over Rancho Mirage when they last played one another on January 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Palm Desert Aztecs fell to the Rancho Mirage Rattlers 65-59. The Aztecs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Palm Desert lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jecorey Jones, who posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wil Wilson, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 18 points.
