Flag Football Game Preview: Wilcox Chargers vs. Homestead Mustangs

The Wilcox Chargers will challenge the Homestead Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wilcox's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Homestead's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wilcox is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 69 points on Monday, they were much more limited against Monta Vista on Wednesday. They and the Matadors were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 13-12 loss.

Meanwhile, Homestead owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past Mt. Pleasant 26-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The victory got Homestead back to even at 6-6. As for Wilcox, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-2.

Wilcox was able to grind out a solid win over Homestead when the teams last played back in September, winning 27-14. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
